Elastic resistance provides numerous training benefits many of which are documented in this research study. Combining elastic resistance training concepts with the P2 Force provides the following features that will enhance your training!
Elastic resistance is not gravity dependent.
Using the P2 Force with elastic tubing or elastic bands provides incremental, consistent and measurable resistance levels for training.
Exercise methods may include:
Single-angle resistance – traditional exercise performance with one tube or band being pulled from one angle or plane.
Multi-angle (direction) resistance – can have multiple elastic resistance tubes or bands attached to any one of numerous P2 Force anchor points that lie in the same plane as the movement that is being performed, providing direct resistance to the movement through a greater portion of the movement arc or pattern (instead of a single elastic tube or band pulling from only 1 angle).
Multi-planar resistance - can have multiple elastic resistance tubes or bands attached to any one of numerous P2 Force anchor points that lie in different planes from the movement pattern being performed, providing direct and indirect resistance to the movement through a greater portion of the movement arc or pattern (instead of a single elastic tube or band pulling from only 1 angle). This set up provides a training stimulus to the stabilizing muscle groups as well as the agonist muscle groups of a specific joint movement.
Combine free weight resistance with elastic resistance – the Handles (accessory attachments) allow a user to hold a dumbbell, barbell or kettlebell at the same time as using elastic resistance on the P2 Force.
Combine body weight resistance with elastic resistance training – body weight exercises like push ups and pull ups can be further challenged by adding elastic tubing across a person’s upper and/or lower back (push ups) or across his or her stomach and/or chest for pull ups.
QRT (Quality Repetition Training) – combining Multi-angle, Multi-planar with free weight and/or body weight training in the same exercise.
Body Weight Training
The adjustable height Cross Bar provides the capability to perform body weight exercises like push ups and pull ups from different heights and body angles, offering an incremental, consistent and measurable application of the Progressive Overload Training Principle.
People who cannot do push ups off of the floor can experience success (and the chance to improve) by raising the Cross Bar to a height where push ups can be performed.
People who cannot do pull ups can experience success by positioning the Cross Bar at a height where modified pull ups can be successfully performed.
Elastic tubing can be attached to the P2 Force anchor points in order to add direct resistance to the movements (push ups, pull ups, dips, squats) in order to increase the challenge (and training stimulus), according to each individual’s capabilities.
Characteristics
Mobile
Small footprint saves space for use and storage
Elite Models are 2’ x 4’
Standard Models are 1.5’ x 4’
Children & adults can safely and effectively use this elastic resistance training & body weight training equipment.
Accommodates multiple, simultaneous users
Elite models can handle up to 6 users at the same time.
Standard models can handle up to 3 users at the same time
Unit uses either elastic resistance tubing with clips or elastic resistance bands
Numerous anchor points for elastic resistance tubing or elastic bands are located at many different positions on the unit.
Attach elastic tubing or elastic bands from almost any angle for any exercise
Each anchor point (loop) can hold multiple elastic tubes or bands at the same time so resistance levels can be easily varied
Total unit height can be adjusted from 5’ 3” to 6’9” in 6” increments making the unit completely functional for children and adults
The P2 Force is the world's simplest and most versatile piece of resistance training equipment.
